About Bucolia

Bucolia is a newsletter-blog-digital publication by me, Robin Rosenberg.

In 2024, I bought an old house and 4.5 acres of farmland on Orcas Island, Washington. The rest is a complicated story. Many complicated stories, in fact. One story is the creative retreat-residency I've been dreaming of building for more than a decade. Other stories involve the history of the property and the land, the legacy of inheritance, the high highs and low lows of chasing a dream, and the unpredictable paths we take, or break.
