Membership Has Its Privileges

When starting Bucolia, I deliberated over creating paid memberships. One motivation to was create a small income stream while I'm in graduate school, transitioning homes and careers, restoring and conceptualizing the future of this property. But I wanted my writing readable to more than a handful of (beloved) supporters.

I set up some membership tiers. I wrote. I got busy. I got water! And despite my recent drop-off in cadence, there is still so much to write about. I promise.

Sometime in the middle of peach season, it dawned on me that my mission to Leave No Fruit Behind could and should be used to thank my paid subscribers.

These are Orcas pears from an ancient tree. They taste like an d'Anjou but never get as soft. I have been drying them and folding them into oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies.

As a thanks for your support, I'd like to send you a little gift from Bucolia Farm. Please use the link below to enter your mailing address. It may be a jar of peach mostarda, a bag of orchard-fruit granola, or something else. Portland folks might be receiving their rewards in person, but please do fill out this form either way. Please note that I'm only able to ship in the US.

I wouldn't be able to do this without your support, in all of its forms. Thank you.
